The SMCMA is conducting a three- year Regional Landcare Facilitator (RLF) project.
The project seeks to identify and support primary producers in the Georges River and Parramatta River catchments.

It is being conducted in partnership with OceanWatch Australia, and funded by the Australian Government's Caring for our Country Initiative.

This project will assist the SMCMA to understand the issues and challenges of managing land for sustainable production on the edge of the metropolitan area. As a first step the Landcare Facilitators are documenting agricultural production in Sydney’s south-west and will be meeting with farmers who may need support to improve their land management practices.
