Managing Horses on Small Properties

This one-day course is being hosted by the SMCMA through its Regional Landcare Facilitator project.

The February 18 seminar will help horse owners and landowners with horses to manage their
properties more sustainably.

It will be presented by Equiculture’s Jane Myers, MSc (Equine Studies),
educator and author.

The seminar will cover the following topics:

• Pasture improvement
• Grazing management
• Property design and horse facilities
• Water protection, conservation and supply
• Manure management
• Trees and plants
• Horse health and behaviour
