Hacking River

The Hacking River begins near the Princes Highway west of Stanwell Tops, and flows through the Royal National Park before reaching Port Hacking.

Local councils within the catchment are Wollongong and Sutherland Shire.

The Upper Hacking Catchment contains valuable plant and animal communities.

Audley Weir has been a popular location for recreation like picnics and boating for more than a hundred years.
