Cooks River

The Cooks River begins as a small watercourse at Graf Park in Bankstown. It continues for 23kms before entering Botany Bay. Tributaries include the Alexandra Canal and Wolli Creek.

The Cooks River flows through some of the most heavily urbanised and industrialised areas in Australia.

A two-year SMCMA project focussing on delivering on-ground work has now been completed. Funding is being sought to continue delivering projects to meet community expectations.

More details on the Cooks River can be found at The Cook River Urban Water Initiative.
