Botany Bay Catchment Water Quality Improvement Device Grants

Part of the funding received through the Australian Government for the Botany Bay Water Quality Improvement Program has been used to conduct a devolved grants program with land managers in the Botany Bay Catchment to install water quality improvement devices to treat urban stormwater runoff. To date four rounds of grants have been awarded in November 2009, April 2010, May 2011 and May 2012. This has resulted in $4.5 million of water quality improvement projects being constructed in the Botany Bay Catchment (see map below for project locations and summaries).

Round 4 Water Quality Improvement Grants (Now Closed)

The forth round of Water Quality Improvement Grants is now closed. We have agreed to co-fund three water quality improvement devices to reduce the negative impacts of ubanisation on aquatic biodiversity and help support an increase in condition, connectivity and resilience of riparian habitat in the Botany Bay Catchment. All projects are located inside the Botany Bay Catchment and are to be completed by the end of May 2013.
The forth round EOI submission form and Water Quality Grant Brief used by applicants can be downloaded below (for information purposes). Applications closed on 16th March 2012.
